Introducing Cica

Say hi to Cica, our two year tortoiseshell cat. Cica is full of energy and has the typical attitude of a tortie. When we first got Cica, she was about one year old. Cica was very nervous, shy and not very friendly. We gave her lots of space and in time she became more familiar with her new home and with us.

Cica had always been a house cat and had no interest in going outside. We tried to encourage her to go outside by leaving the door open to allow her the freedom of the great outdoors. We tried for months! Then one day we had a success......she finally stepped outside! It took a few more weeks for her to feel comfortable being outside and now she loves to play and explore the garden. Cica doesn't go far, she will always love her home comforts but she can now burn off her high energy running around in the garden.

Lovers of the great outdoors ourselves, we decided to attempt harness and lead training. WOW! Cica took to the harness and lead like a pro. Within the first week Cica would happily sit and allow us to put her harness on. We allowed Cica to get used to the harness and lead in the garden before considering taking her out to unfamiliar places.
